Climb Ancient Art in Moab with Our Guides!
Rising dramatically from the desert landscape of Fisher Towers, Ancient Art is one of the most iconic desert tower climbs in the American Southwest. This striking sandstone formation is famous for its incredible corkscrew summit—a narrow spiral of rock perched high above the desert floor.
The climb follows the classic Stolen Chimney route, a multi-pitch adventure that winds its way up the tower through chimneys, cracks, and exposed ledges. As the climb progresses, the views expand across the surreal landscape of the Fisher Towers and the distant La Sal Mountains.
Near the top, climbers step carefully across a narrow ridge known as the “diving board,” leading to the unforgettable corkscrew summit. Standing on this tiny summit is a surreal and exhilarating moment that few climbers ever forget.
For many climbers, Ancient Art is the perfect introduction to the world of desert tower climbing.
