Come Explore Entrajo Canyon in Moab!
Entrajo Canyon is one of the most accessible and enjoyable slot canyon adventures near Moab. Located just 10 minutes south of town along the scenic Colorado River corridor, this half-day trip is perfect for guests who want to experience the beauty of a true sandstone slot canyon combined with exciting rappels and refreshing water features, and it’s great for all ages.
The adventure begins with a short desert hike before dropping into a beautifully sculpted canyon carved by centuries of flash floods. As the canyon narrows, towering sandstone walls rise on either side while the route winds through twisting passages, potholes, and pools of water that make this canyon especially enjoyable on warm days.
Along the way you’ll encounter two fun rappels, including a short introductory 25-foot rappel followed by a scenic 90-foot descent deeper into the canyon. Depending on conditions, sections of the canyon may include wading through cool pools or even a short swim.
Entrajo Canyon is an excellent introduction to slot canyon exploration and is suitable for adventurous beginners and families. With narrow passages, refreshing water, and exciting rappels, Entrajo Canyon offers a fantastic first taste of canyoneering in the Moab area—especially during the hotter months of the year.
